I am so tired of the fake smiles and Instagram photos that has everyone pretending like life is always good, when we all know it's not true.
Of course, I am just as guilty as anyone else, and yes, I am blessed and have experienced some amazing moments that have been captured via social media. But, I also have days when it feels as if life is at a stand still and like my dreams are moving in slow motion. And to be honest it's frustrating and sometimes I get discouraged. Yes, even the life coach needs a coach. Why is it so hard for many of us to admit that sometimes we need help -- Pride, ego, fear, insecurity, etc.? Maybe it's time to admit that being "Superwoman" is overrated and it's backfiring on many of us because it doesn't allow for transparency, vulnerability and self-care.
Who is supposed to free us up from the limitations of societal definitions of strength or being a superwoman? At what point do we get to be human, vulnerable and and most importantly, honest, without it taking away from our flyness? Just as hot and cold are both possible, so are being weak and strong.
